My photography journey began in 2010, when I started capturing the world under the name Virginia Maciel's Photography. For over a decade, I documented people, stories, and moments across many seasons of life. That chapter shaped me deeply! It taught me how to truly see, how to hold space, and how to honor moments exactly as they are.
Purelight Glimmers marks the next chapter of that evolution.
This chapter feels lighter, freer, and more playful, while still grounded in everything I’ve learned along the way. It’s rooted in curiosity, creativity, and the magic found in every moment. I’m endlessly inspired by the way light moves, emotions unfold, and stories reveal themselves when we allow space for authenticity and imagination.
I am a creative, innovative, and highly versatile photographer with a diverse portfolio that spans many styles and subjects. From intimate moments to bold creative concepts, I thrive in variety. I’m especially drawn to whimsical, imaginative, and out-of-the-box photo shoots sessions that feel joyful, expressive, and a little bit magical.
What I love most is capturing the full spectrum of moments. The laughter, the stillness, the unexpected in-betweens, and the glimmers that make each experience unique. Photography, for me, is about preserving feeling just as much as imagery.
As I step into Purelight Glimmers, I honor everything I’ve created before while opening myself fully to what’s unfolding next. I’m inspired, energized, and genuinely excited for this new chapter and for the images still waiting to be made.
